Pooping for Jesus

Well placed graffiti seen at Utrecht Central station.
This Sunday 17th April is the VW aircooled display at the Keukenhof. AKA the Bollenstreekrit (there are also hundreds of other vintage cars on display)
As you might know, the flower park Keukenhof is one of the most beautiful spring gardens in the world which draws in more than 800,000 visitors from around the world in just 2 months.
On Sunday from 10:00 a.m until 2:00 p.m. the cars will be parked at the main entrance of the Keukenhof, at 14:30 pm the cars will take a scenic drive through the region. This will end on the boulevard in Noordwijk where we will be closing the Best Traffic Jam in the Netherlands (de Mooiste File van Nederland)
Here it is also possible to talk about the nice day while enjoying a snack and a drink at one of the many restaurants or beach bars.
Of course everyone is free in his or her choice to only participate in the ride, visit the park or both.

Anyone using their phone to store all their loyalty cards?I know scanners work on old non-touch screens (ala KLM E-Check) but not tried with my existing HTC. My wallet is so full of these cards (2 for petrol, 1 for the DIY store, the Supermarket, Breakdown Service, Hospital, Video shop, Museum Card, Makro, Camping Card, Health insurance, Driving Licience, NL ID)
I’d much rather just have my wallet back thank-you very much instead of lugging round a suitcase in my pocket full of plastic </rant>
Someone tell me this is possible before I make a fool of myself at the checkout, .. also do screen protector make a difference (I’m not using a mirror type before you ask!)
thanks!

Got us a IP-Cam at the weekend. It’s a Y-Cam Knight . We can now view the kids room over the internet, from a PC and from our phones.
It has sound /colour / night vision there’s a bucket of options for saving video to your local storage device or NAS and motion sensor email alerts etc etc.
We’ve not had a baby monitor since the old video one died a sorry death a few months ago. Basically we’ve been waiting for affordable technology and this ip-cam seems to be doing the trick. You need some knowledge of your router settings, port forwarding etc. But the tech support guys are extreemly nice and heelpful.
The kids get a new bedroom next week, we’re moving them to the attic, so they are even further out of ear shot, hence the need to install such a device, just now we can see it when (if) we go out aswell.
So after a few weeks of trial and error I can happily report back on a couple of useful apps for uploading/downloading to and from your google storage account/s.
Basically if you have a gmail address you have 7GB of email storage, which you can fill with files/email attachments of upto 25MB in size. For something larger you may consider upgrading your gmail account with google storage , This allows you to store files of up to 1GB and you utilize your storage over all your google accounts such as Gmail, GoogleDocs and Picassa.
1. store files with a Windows Shell Extension for gmail (not an entirely useful way of storing your files, but it does the job and you get an email with the download link)
2. Upload/download files to and from your google DOCs account (yes this is the fabled GDrive) with Gladinet Starter edition (free if you don’t need sync capabilities)
Now go and back something up!
The ‘Museumkaart’ is a great deal if you like to visit the museums of Holland. It gives you FREE access to nearly all the Museums across the country for a paltry price of just €44.00 per adult and €24 per children aged 3 to 12 per year (children under 3 are free in most museums). After visiting the train museum twice and the Nijntje Museum (aka ‘Miffy’ aka Dick Bruna House) more than half a dozen times, I think the card will be fast paying for itself and saving me money to boot!… Get one!
More info at the MuseumKaart website
You can buy ‘museumkaarts’ online or at all of the museums listed on their website, once purchased you can enter for free…wo0t!
Always nice to see some new sh*t from TLP

Uploaded to my picasa gallery is this public album of my bus. From the first photo taken when I was deciding to purchase her (with all the bits that needed work), holidays in France, Spain and Germany, the kids playing in her, the restoration and finally showing her off at the aircooled festival in January 2011.
VW T2b Restoration – a photo history
More festivals to visit this year, so keep watching!
so about 6 years ago (see archived post here) I was trying to get this thing called a ‘moblog’ working using some 3rd party round about technique with 2 mailboxes a bucket of PHP and a lot of soap.
After todays play with URL shortening I have now the set up as follows:
wo0t!
added a funky new URL shortening thingy which auto posts to twitter. Took a little to configure, finally realizing that I have the wrong .htaccess file. SORTED.. BOOM! (update – now moved to ‘at’)
